Kearney, NE

Auctioneer: Lynn Weishaar

Pedigrees: John E. Johnson

The 2008 Fulton Performance Horse & Production Sale on Saturday, Sept. 6th, 2008 in Kearney, NE consisting of both Fulton Ranch and select guest consignments, proved once again that the trust in one successful program could be the deciding factor in the ultimate success of many others. The Fulton Ranch senior sire, A Streak Of Fling, attained a speed index of 98 while earning $27,645 on the track in his racing career. Now an accomplished arena performer, the 1999 red roan stallion sired by Streakin Six si 104, stamps a strong presence on his offspring – his earliest foals are just starting to hit the track and arena.

Topping the sale that highlighted 59 select consignments was the outstanding two-year-old bay roan stallion BF Streakin Merridoc. Sired by ‘Streaker,’ he is out of Winnsboro, a sorrel AA daughter of Merridoc si 102 by Tiny’s Gay. A bid of $30,000 changed his direction to the Hagan Ranch of Virden, Manitoba, Canada. Future Fortunes nominated, this young stallion has a bright future not only as a sire but in the performance arena as well.

Leaving the ring on a bid of $20,500 from a Canadian buyer was Streakin Boon Dox, another two-year-old bay roan stallion sired by A Streak Of Fling. His dam, PC Joesy Dox, was sired by Boon Dox John and out of Joesy’s Rose, a full sister to Cactus, Brian Fulton’s NFR calf horse with PRCA life-time earnings of over $340,000.

Frances Loiseau, breeder of 5-time WPRA World Champion and AQHA/PRCA Barrel Horse Of The Year French Flash Hawk ‘Bozo’ and her daughter Barb Westover, consigned a phenomenal two-year-old chestnut daughter of A Streak of Fling. The dam, PC Frenchmans Flirt, is a full sister to the immortal Frenchmans Guy, consistently a leading sire in the barrel horse industry.

Frenchmans Streaker caught the eye of a Texas buyer on a bid of $18,500. Shawn Patras of North Platte, NE consigned the 2002 sorrel gelding Bobbys Poco Pizzazz, a finished tie-down horse that commanded a bid of $19,000 from a California buyer.
